About Us

Our mission is to ensure employees experiencing grief can access compassionate, specialist support - while organisations feel confident and supported during some of the most challenging moments they may face.

We work exclusively in grief and loss.

This clear focus allows us to offer structured, compassionate and expert guidance when it’s needed most. Supporting people through deeply human experiences while helping organisations repond with care, clarity and confidence.

When grief enters the workplace, it can feel difficult to know where to turn.

The Grief Therapists was founded by Rainbow and Matt Tomes, whose personal and professional experiences shaped their deep understanding of grief and its impact on working life.

Both have experienced grief at times when support was limited or unclear. These experiences highlighted how often employees, and those supporting them, are left without guidance during moments that are personal, emotional and often complex.

Together, they created a service grounded in:

  • compassion
  • clarity
  • timely support
  • strong practice foundations
  • respectful partnership with HR, leaders and organisations.

A service built for the moments that matter.
